Vegas, Day 2
by Jay on Dec.15, 2008, under All
Decided to take part in the 11 AM poker tournament, which would be my first time playing poker live. Few hands of note. Early on was dealt KQx which paired the king on the flop. Bet T200, and the gentleman a few seats to my left went all in. I called him and he flipped over KJx. No jack on the flop or turn and I doubled up off of him. (continue reading…)
Vegas, Day 1

Woke up at 5:45AM EST for my 8:00 AM flight. Flight left on time, which is a first for me when flying anywhere. Vacation Anticipation

I hate sitting around at work shortly before leaving on a trip. This week has been going by so SLOWLY. But in 24 hours (baring any flight delays) I should be in Vegas!
Vegas, baby!
by Jay on Nov.16, 2008, under All
So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a winter vacation. I’ve been itching for some time now to take off and do something sans the family, and this seems like the best option. Aparently, Vegas is really cheap in December; Orbitz had a deal for 3 nights at the MGM Grand for $519 bucks, nonstop airfare included. After applying a $75 off promo code my trip turned out to be less than $450 dollars.
I’ve been to Las Vegas once, in the 80s when I was a kid. I know the place has changed dramatically since then and I look forward to enjoying all the sites, shows, and gaming that Vegas provides. Stay tuned for updates!
